In the hot summer of ’86, Huge was born in the city of Genk. During his young years he had lot’s of intrest in music. All the music that he liked, was in his tape- and cd-collection. And he was always recording new songs from the radio channels. When he was 13/14 years old he bought himself some speakers with an amplifier, a mixer and 2 cd players. At that time Huge was playing just for fun. In the year of 2004, his cousin Dj Solid was playing @ Local party’s. That gave Huge his inspiration. So he started practicing with vinyl and his first mix cd was out! When Huge was 17, he started playing @ local party’s and after a few party’s he got the opportunity to play @ dancing Karrewiel with Nico Parisi. In the year of 2005, Huge went celebrating New Year’s Eve in the dancing Real. It was there he heard Zzino playing for the first time. This music was a little bit strange in the beginning, but after a few moments he was falling in love with this kind of music! From that night Zzino was his big example, and with Zzino’s concepts in the Real (with big guests dj’s), Huge started to learn more about techno/elektro and minimal music. Then Huge finally found his “music identity”! In the summer of 2005, Huge had the opportunity to do a test set between Punisher & Zzino at a concept in dancing Karrewiel called Retrobeatz. After this set he became the new resident at this concept together with Punisher (G-raom). After that summer his bookings and name started to grow. After that was playing regularly @ Dancing Karrewiel on Friday’s and Saturday’s and at local party’s! In the year of 2006, his cousin Solid started with a new party concept called “Solid Sessions”. Huge was always a well known name on the flyers of this concept. And if this al wasn’t enough, he had the chance to play weekly at Gregarious (a bar in Bilzen). But this bar was not made for Huge. He quit playing after a few months @ Gregarious and concentrated more at party’s and bigger clubs! Later on that year he was a guest-dj at the b-day party of one of his best friends dj Sign at the club Colbys. After this party he became a regular dj at Colbys where he still got some beautifull memorys left (Colbys was closed around the summer of 2007). Huge his bookings at dancing Karrewiel were getting less, but in the mean while his bookings on Friday’s & Saturday’s for the dancing Lazzurra were groing. In 2007 Huge came back in contact with Zzino. Zzino gave Huge the chance to do a guest set at the legendary discotheque Montini. (Montini is well know by the previous generation of clubbers, and because of the famous guest dj’s). Here Huge played several times. But to bad, things did not work out and Montini closed (mid 2007). After a few months Huge was assigned for a weekly residence at a new concept called Chrome Club. During this time he was also a guest dj at Groovy Tunes. In 2008 Huge was accepted for Chrome Bookings (known for artists like Filterheadz, Pierre, Redhead, Dave Lambert and other big dj’s).
