It all begins in 1999 when Flash started playing on local partys like voodoo-trip and aspi-dance as DJ Maniac. Those days he played Wednesdays and Saturdays also @ cactus-store Hasselt 2 earn his 12 inch records and saved as much money to spend it all on music. The dj virus has taken full control. On a random morning Mario from Lazzurra entered the store and laid his ears on one of Maniac’s gigs. He liked the style and asked him to start playing @ Lazzurra. His first residence was a fact. After one year and due unknow reasons he stopped playing @ Lazzurra and took a break. One year later Flash was born, a fresh start with a new name and a new residence. He played Fridays and Saturdays @ Karrewiel, backstage and closing @ main room. Flash tried lots of styles, R&B, electro, groove, even hardstyle where he made 2 records together with John Verbeeck as Bass-Alliance on D-Form record label. Fightclub, B-side & Party People were respected tracks in the hardstyle scène. Also a huge clubhit called Monster was created together with DJ Danny. But the hardstyle never lasted and Flash prefered the more musical part of house music like progressive and club music. After Karrewiel was closing down Flash created Club Gizmo together with his collegue DJ Rewind. A succesfull club has been opened. The music, the people, the good vibes, it all fits. Later Dj Lavigne joined Gizmo’s DJ team. Now Flash is still resident @ Club Gizmo every Saturday and plays guest sets @ Illusion, Shaft, Creamm…
