As perpetuated on their artistic name, the Super Sónicos, is a new duo created by two young artists who make music arrangements go even faster than the speed of sound. Their undisputable talent, unique rhythms, irresistible beats, contagious lyrics, humble character and explosive performance guarantees an artistic career driven to endless success. Their passion…music; their genre…urban style blended with the reggaeton flow; their talent…singing, composing and producing; their goal…to immerse the world into their music; their names…Richard & D-mo, the Super Sónicos.
Ricardo Matos, artistically known as Richard, was born in Cupey, PR on July 28, 1985. His career began during his teenage years, singing in churches, where he discovered his musical talent. During his childhood years he also had the opportunity to sing different music genres as ballads, christian music and reggaeton. He shared his music with many children during special events celebrated in the schools of Puerto Rico, as well as on community events. Throughout his artistic career, his both uncles, artistically known as Banchy & Oscar and members of the well-known “Merengue†group, Grupo ManÃa, have served as a true inspiration and have motivated him to pursue his professional goals within the music industry.
On 1998, Richard began to create his own music beats. This new stage of his career led him to meet the other member of this duo, Victor Troche, who at that time was also passionate about music and the creation of unique music beats.
Victor A. Troche, artistically known as D-mo, was born in San Juan, PR on October 5, 1987. He began his career on 2001 singing rap and hip hop music on special events at several schools in Puerto Rico, serving as inspiration to many children. D-mo has also shared stage with local talent on a well-known sports event for colleges and universities celebrated in Ponce, Puerto Rico, known as “Las Justasâ€. Besides all this, he has also been able to transmit his talent to many people while performing in several clubs located throughout the island. Well-known artists such as Héctor Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, Cultura Profética, Tupac and Dr. Dre are some of the many artists that have served as an inspiration to D-mo throughout his artistic career for the truth that lies behind the lyrics of their music.
On 2000, D-mo discovered his talent for creating unique music beats and, two years later, this led him to meet his actual singing partner, Richard.
Around 2002, Richard & D-mo combined their unquestionable talent, their passion for music, and their eagerness to succeed into an unprecedented form of creating music that will leave many with the desire for more. This innovative style will infiltrate the reggaeton flow into different music genres, surpassing into a new dimension that can only be reached by the Super Sónicos. The name of this group was determined on 2004 after many fans described their beats and rythms as something “out of this worldâ€; unlike anything else they’ve heard before, but with the potential of impressing many with their creative music blends. As a group, the have collaborated with artists such as Angel & Khriz, John Eric, Yaga & Mackie, DJ Rafi Mercenario, DJ Barbosa, DJ Kalin and DJ Julián, among many others. One of their songs, “Sata†will appear in a new musical production by Yaga & Mackie called “Talento de la Calleâ€. At the same time, the new musical production “The Academy†by Angel & Kris will include another of their songs titled “Tócala, Tócalaâ€. Currently, the Super Sónicos are working on several songs that will soon be heard, first in Puerto Rico, and then in some countries of South America. The Super Sónicos are determined to impress millions with their charisma, versatile style, creative beats, rythmic lyrics and distinctive personalities.
