Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) maintains a vision of democratic society, where at all levels the people have control of the decisions which affect them and the resources on which they are dependent.SDS is an education and social action organization dedicated to increasing democracy in all phases of our common life. It seeks to promote the active participation of young people in the formation of a movement to build a society free from poverty, ignorance, war, exploitation, racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, and environmental destruction.
