LaDelle Walker developed his love for music early in life. He was only four years old when he began playing the piano at his father's church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Many people said he was a child prodigy. By the age of 13 he ventured into writing and composing. Soon after, he was asked to join a local R&B group named UNITY, where he added singing to his musical career. While in UNITY LaDelle traveled significantly, opening up for artists such as Brian McKnight and Nelson Rangel.
After high school graduation, LaDelle joined the gospel group, The Texas Boyz, out of Dallas Texas. Together they released three albums. LaDelle wrote, arranged, and composed a number of songs on their latest album, "Forever Together." One of his songs was nominated for Stellar Awards in a couple different categories.
Over the course of about 10 years he traveled with them across the country and performed at The Apollo, The Bobby Jones Show, and for the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN).
While maintaining his position with The Texas Boyz, LaDelle was eagerly pursuing his own personal music career. He eventually joined Larry T. Byrd Gordon and the T.M.P.L. Band, an established entertainment company, as a keyboard player and lead vocalist. LaDelle quickly became the director of this talented 16 piece band and traveled extensively, both nationally and internationally. T.M.P.L. was the featured entertainment at such affairs as The Bozark Ball, The Crystal Charity Ball and the world famous Stars And Bars in Monaco. They also played at Club Jimmy's and Hotel De Paris in Monte Carlo. LaDelle and the T.M.P.L. Band shared the stage with accomplished artists like Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Gloria Gaynor and Janet Jackson. They also performed for Presidents George Bush Sr. and Jr., Ross Perot, Jerry Jones, and Prince Albert of Monaco. LaDelle became the sole director over the entire gospel production during their annual visit to Monaco. Dr. Larry T. Byrd Gordon and the T.M.P.L. Band were voted and publicized by "Town and Country" magazine as the "Best All Around, Live Entertainment Band in Texas".
In 1999, LaDelle Walker created LW Records, his own independent record label. He released his first solo album, "Christmas Means More To Me" later that same year. LaDelle did everything on his own; the production, arrangement, all the instruments, all the background and lead vocals. He even mixed and mastered the entire CD. The debut album had 5 traditional Christmas favorites and 5 amazing original songs written by LaDelle. This project was very successful locally. It was said by many that it is a musical and lyrical treat all year round, not just during the holidays.
After the tragic events of September 11th, LaDelle released a "Tribute To America" single that included a moving rendition of the Star Spangled Banner and a beautiful original ballad that he wrote for all those touched by the events of that day.
LaDelle Walker then released his second album " Do You Know... Whatcha Gonna Do" in 2003. This is a 12 track contemporary gospel album with all original songs and a variety of styles. It is guaranteed to satisfy music lovers of all backgrounds and ages. Other than a guest guitarist, LaDelle Walker, once again, pieced together each step in the creation of this project... technically, musically, and vocally.
In 2007, LaDelle began creating his latest album "Never Give Up."
