I'm a motorcycle riding upright bass player for Thee Merry Widows. I ride a Triumph Bonneville but am a Harley girl at heart. Outta Pittsburgh, PA but escaped to San Francisco in search of nightlife and freaks about 10 years ago. Besides playin bass with the girls, I love my pitbull Lily, cajun zydeco dancing, silly heavy metal shows, punk and psychobilly shows, trashy road trips, hanging out in divey bars that smell like piss, riding my bike, fostering pitbulls, drinking beer and whiskey, shooting guns, Reno, lipstick-smeared Manhookers at 8am on my way to work thru the Tenderloin, collecting taxidermy and skulls - have a cobra named Antoine. Did I mention the cute 21 year old fans (or should I say 16 year old?)?
Greasers, Cowboys, Goths, Bikers, Psychobilly Hatchetheads and other musicians. People who see life through different lenses. People who love to have fun and take a few risks. Old people with stories to tell. Dogs of substance.
Boston hardcore and goth got me started, but now it's mostly basics like Ramones, Cramps, Motorhead, Misfits, Johnny Cash, Rev. Horton Heat, old Social Distortion, Southern Culture on the Skids. Still love goth and metal, tho Psychobilly is now a mainstay (Mad Sin, Rezurex, The Grit, Long Tall Texans) - especially more horrorpunk stuff.
Bladerunner Elvira Forrest Gump (I gotta admit it) Waking Ned Devine That one about the old guy on the lawnmower who travels 3 states to see his brother who is Harry Dean Stanton.
CSI - only Las Vegas. My Name is Earl. Used to watch Deadwood and Six Feet Under. Occasionally I get sucked into historical fiction on PBS like Henry VIII's wives. Love the history channel.
Ivan Doig, Cormac McCarthy. Westerns where they don't talk much. Jeffrey Lent. Cold Mountain, Bastard out of Carolina. White trash stuff like that.
