About Me

Robert Martin Painter (Bob) is a song writer, singer and guitarist. He wrote his first song in 1968 on his return trip from Viet Nam. During the early 1970s while trying to raise a young family Bob experienced some hard times when he could not even buy a job. He caught a break in the late 1970s as a Fire Fighter and for the next 25 years he learned allot of life experiences as a family man and Fire Fighter. Bob continued to write story songs about his family and life experiences. He retired in 2004 and is still writing, singing and playing guitar.Bob is currently jamming with George Walker, a composer and lead guitarist. Together they are jamming on "old school" rythm & blues, country and rock tunes with future hopes of entertaining baby boomers, who miss the good old songs.Bob's son Ted Painter carries on the song writer/guitarist tradition. Ted can be heard at myspace.com/tedpainter and Ted's band can be heard at myspace.com/southcountyband.
