Myspace is a funny place.
In October 2006 Richie Wermerling went in search of some musicians to form a band. The aim, to create a fresh live sound and bring new meaning to songs he had written and recorded on his own.
Several meetings (and bass players) later Feetgazer were born.
Feetgazer are a mix of raw, young enthusiasm and mature reflective song writing, fusing in explosive anthemic rock with hard melodies and very meaningful lyrics.
Richie is the main driving force behind the band and he is no stranger to being in the limelight. Previously the lead singer and songwriter for 90's pop/rock outfit Let Loose and subsequently songwriter/keyboardist for LA based rock band Bottlefly he has achieved british chart success and spent years in the US perfecting his songwriting and performing abilities.
He has worked with names such as Nik Kershaw, Ant & Dec, Peter Brame and international artistes such as Hanna Pakarinen and Yuki.
Since the Let Loose years, Richie has added an indie edge to his writing and a sense of reflection and maturity come through in the thought provoking lyrics.
Always a notable live performer, the years have done nothing to dim the energy of his live sets and the high energy band adds so much to the shows.
Feetgazer have arrived.
