Noa Tylo’s “Let’s Do It!” presents a sexually-charged reinterpretation of classic 90’s pop and R&B dance sounds infused with ultra modern beats. The album releases to iTunes, cdbaby.com, and digstation.com.“I really wanted to bring back the groove that has been missing in today’s Top 40,” explained Tylo from his recording studio in New York City. “Let’s Do It!” is a departure from his 2002 groundbreaking debut, “Born Again Virgin”. The first album penetrated South African and European Top 20 countdown charts with hit singles “Gimme Some” and “Sanctuary”, but proved too provocative for American radio. The new album has a much more urban and mainstream feel, while not forgetting his dance roots by including some “kick ass, balls-to-the-wall remixes” adds Tylo. “Let’s Do It!” is a disc of gleaming, heart-thumping syncopated rhythms backed by state-of-the-art, megabucks production. Tylo collaborated with J-Lo and Santana producer Jimmy Greco and co-produced many of the tracks with up and coming producers; John Buchannan in NY, and Washington DC’s Blake Althen. In the tradition of his hero Michael Jackson, Noa Tylo seizes on the sound of the day to stay contemporary. Also similar to Jackson, Tylo presents a distinctive vocal personality. He demonstrates a firm command of the futuristic machinery powering the R&B workouts and succeeds in elevating the intensity of the music in songs such as “Here We Go” and “Hang It Out (Bang-Bang)”. The album’s showstopper is the title track. It is the first song and its addictive hook immediately seduces listeners into the sexual lair the young artist is naturally keen to explore. When asked what inspires him, Tylo unabashedly admits, “sex, intimacy and emotion”. Some have accused him of riding the sexual gravy train and cashing in on his fan’s primal urges. A closer inspection reveals a more complex man and a much deeper talent, particularly showcased in the ballad “The Real You”. “I’ve gotten a lot of heat in the past for some of my thoughts and ideas, but I’m not going to jeopardize my artistic freedom and integrity because of ignorance. Truth and honesty is so much stronger, and I feel people can relate to that.” Among his controversial ideas is the belief that “attraction is based on energy and not sexuality”. Noa maintains that he is not trying to convert people to believe what he believes, “Music is my vehicle of expression and I have a message to share. I’m exploring something that is a major part of all of our lives, love: in its raw emotional, spiritual and physical form.”**************************************************** ** ("BORN AGAIN VIRGIN" NOW AVAILABLE ON iTUNES) ****************************************************** FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY......., I've added the '02 Music Video for "Gimme Some (Maybe Next Time)", the first single off of my debut album. After a few showings, it was pulled off air and Banned from being played on Public Television by the South African Broadcasting Corporation, after getting complaints by some members of the public for being too risque. Enjoy!
