We specialized on the music of Cuban Master Percussionist and Composer Arturo Stable. Mr. Stable has been in the United States for a few years now and with this second release he firmly places himself at the forefront of the Cuban jazz Composers and instrumentalists of his generation.The new Album, entitled “Notes on Canvas” is a CD with a very distinct sound that boils down to a magnificent blend of World music, Afro-Cuban and Jazz. The tunes are inspired by 9 different paintings that Mr. Stable’s choose from his favorite pieces of art. He has truly pushed himself to new heights both as a writer and as a performer.After composing music for more than twenty different paintings, Arturo ventured to assemble a team of artists to bring “Notes on Canvas” to life. From within a circle of jazz friends and favorites, he called upon those musicians whose artistic sensitivities when beyond music. This recording includes the participation of more than 15 musicians, featuring Grammy award winners Paquito D’ Rivera and David Sanchez among them. “This is a project that reflects a lot of my personality” says Arturo Stable, “I go back to music I've done in the past and there's just more maturity, depth, intelligence on these.”Arturo Stable has been performing internationally for more than 10 years. He has share the stage with artists such as Jane Bunnett, The Caribbean Jazz Project, Lionel Loueke, George Garzone, Giovanni Hidalgo, The Philadelphia Symphony with Peter Nero among others. Arturo is a LP endorser and he has an extensive experience as a Clinician as well.
