About Me

The story so far:
Krakow Kasanovas was formed back in 2005. The first year was only an excuse for getting drunk and new friends, really. Then we were booked all of a sudden (i guess our ridiculous promotion pictures had some effect) and had to rehearse sober. That was the end of the brilliant idea of the band that wasn’t a band, and the beginning of something far worse. A band. We hate bands. Bands suck. It’s only the idea, the concept of a band that’s good. We were called one of sweden’s best goth bands before we even had our first gig, which proves my theory. But here we are, and we hope you find us to your liking. Right now we’re in the middle of a recording session meant to be for promotional use and compilation albums only. We still insist that we don’t need to release anything as hardware copies to get the feedback that keeps us doing our thing. At least for a while. At least until we’ve found a decent recording room. At least until we can afford a decent production. Until then, we’ll keep relying on the lofi live bootlegs people send us.
The Creative Process:
We rarely jam. When we write new songs, we sit down, argue, write, program, record samples, critize and then repeat the process until we are satisfied for the moment. then we begin to rehearse what we’ve agreed upon. That gives our music a mechanical, but geuine feeling. That’s what makes us different from most other bands. We’re not unique in this matter, but at least, we make a huge difference to most other bands around the hoods. For some extra personal touch, we’ve written the code ourselves for some of the software synthesizers and samplers we’re using.
