The Hive Design Competition
Want to see your creative permanently displayed on the side of the Northern Quarter’s newest building in Manchester?
Here's your chance! The Hive is an exciting new workspace being built in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Its aim is to be a centre of creative excellence and fill its loft style studios with artists, agencies and design professionals.
‘The Hive Design Competition’ is a high profile competition to inspire artists, designers and emerging student talent to produce concept designs which will be built in metalwork across the front of the building. The metalwork will act a solar shading screen, helping to reduce direct sunlight as well as tie the building into the character of its creative surroundings. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of the Northern Quarter and leave a permanent mark on Manchester. In addition to the prestige of designing an installation around this inspirational building there is a cash prize of £5000 on offer.
