D.E.V. is a 20 Year Old Rapper Born In So-Cal Moved to Oakland in 1988 at the age of three months while his mother returned to UC Berkeley to finish her school. Has moved around A LOT mainly between Oakland and Richmond CA. After the murder of his father in 1997 over drug territory, D.E.V was determined to follow his father’s best advice "Don’t be like me". Currently in his third year of college working on his degree in Marketing. Spit his first freestyle at the age of 9 and since then has always had a passion for music. Was a member of Hip Hop Group "Da Movement" where he appeared under the name Gametime. D.E.V.’s lyrics are based on his life’s experiences and the life of those around him. Growing up in two cities ranked in the F.B.I’S "Top Ten most dangerous cities" has allowed D.E.V to experience the struggle of today’s youth. Wants to bring music back to where it used to be where artist put their all into making the best product possible; "Now a days there’s two types of artists in rap, Actual rappers and Entertainers. Nothing’s wrong with Entertainers, but they are starting to out number rappers" In his first song "I’m Hip Hop" he addresses himself as being Hip Hop and what Hip Hop is going through.
