Joined myspace to chat to like-minded individuals or groups. I live in Australia and am keen to share my interests with others in cyberspace. My basic interests are my burlesque troupe I am in. We perform traditional 1950's burlesque and are the only authentic (and first) troupe in Australia ( www.hiballburlesque.com).We do quite a few shows and have a fine reputation for classic, sophisticated, vintage inspired, raunchy cheese performances. So would love to talk to anyone else interested in burlesque or is a performer.
I also love rockabilly music and have travelled to the festivals over the years. I love and live with a musician who has been playing in bands for years and has travelled overseas to play. I also love early soul, R&B, doowop, hillbilly bop, western swing, bluegrass, surf, exotica and latin music. I really love it all so long as it is pre-1965.
My other interests are collecting vintage clothing and I'm an ebay junkie (a gal can't have enough Shaheens or westernwear), collecting bric-a-brac, mid-century modern,tiki memorabilia, bakelite and lucite jewelry.
I have been living a "50's" lifestyle for 20 years and love it all. I have met alot of great people over the years and have pals worldwide. I also have alot of pals in Australia who are as obsessed as myself about all things from a time past. I also love hanging out with my friends, particularly my closest gal pals and of course my partner.
