I have a freaking sunburn!!!! I was only out for 20 minutes! :(

About Me

I am silly, frivolous, and irreverent. What I do take seriously might surprise you...
I am a tomboy, a lady, a woman, a mother, a witch, a human being.
I am incredibly normal, boring, quirky, & unorthodox.
I am simply complicated & dependably unpredictable.
I am a spiritual being having a human experience.
I am an earthy diva and a genteel guttersnipe.
I am gregarious on-line, yet shy in person.
I am not going to try to impress you.
I believe in love, in hope, & in dreams.
I believe in wonder & in magick.
I believe in having adventures & trying new things.
I believe in truth, choice, freedom, & equality.
I believe in peace & in fighting for what we believe in.
I believe pizza is the perfect food.
I believe I still have a lot to learn.
More useless trivia about Me:
I live for coffee - piping hot, with just halfnhalf.
I am a redhead and catch fire in the sun faster than most vampires.
I am incredibly untidy, but there is occasional method to my madness.
I am a Reiki practitioner.
I am a fashion faux pas
I am a cookbook junkie. I own over 100...and I'm always looking...
I am a sucker for quotations.
I love chocolate, gourmet food, and wine.
I love travel, history, archeology, science, hiking, walking, and dots=.........
I love to read, to laugh, and to dance.
I love animals.
I love art, photography, and music.
I hate shopping - but I can't walk past a book store (used books- even better!) or a shoe store.
I hate whipped cream, olives, lima beans, beets, and...and jello
I do NOT watch television.
I do not consider myself outspoken, I just say what I think...
Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
Well, spring sprang. We've had our state of grace and our little gift of sanctioned madness, courtesy of Mother Nature. Thanks, Gaia. Much obliged. I guess it's time to get back to that daily routine of living we like to call normal.

My Interests

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.

Human pain does not let go of its grip at one point in time. Rather, it works its way out of our consciousness over time. There is a season of sadness. A season of anger. A season of tranquility. A season of hope. Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each. I'm on a journey...

Listen, can you hear it? Spring's sweet cantata. The strains of grass pushing through the snow. The song of buds swelling on the vine. The tender timpani of a baby robin's heart. Spring.

I'd like to meet:

I do want to meet Relaxed and Groovy individuals who know how to laugh and enjoy life; who are tolerant and respectful of others; who value friendship; and who care about more than just material things.

I'm always happy to make a new friend BUT I don't randomly add people I don't know. Send me a message if you’re sending a friends request.

Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh.(W. H. Auden)

Intolerance is NOT tolerated here.

Music:

My Three Golden Rules of Music:

1) Music should never twang and/or be of the country genre.
2) Music should never whine and complain, or be anywhere close to sounding like Alanis Morissette or her imitators
3) All notes should be hit, again ruling out Alanis Morissette, as well as many live performances by bands I actually do like...

Currently I’m favouring Finnish and German bands as well as the pagan folk genre (although not exclusively)..

But take heart, I am a fickle eclectic and my tastes will change at any moment

Movies:

Lord of the Rings (all three), Ladyhawke, Princess Bride, The Emporer's New Groove, Truly, Madly Deeply, Parent Trap, The Chronicles of Narnia, 5 Children and It, Revenger's Tragedy, Dodgeball, Zoolander, Family Guy movie, The Thin Man movies, The Mummy, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleepy Hollow, The Quiet Man, Funny thing Happened to me on the way to the Forum, Waking Ned Devine, Kinky Boots, What the *Bleep* do We Know?, errrrr....and so on and so forth

Television:

I don't watch television CURRENT MOON lunar phase

Books:

I love books, and I read alot...C.S.Lewis, Tolkein, Shakespeare, Ngaio Marsh, Robbie Burns, Robert Frost, Dick Francis, Storm Constantine, and a lot of different stuff including non-fiction.

Heroes:

Everyone is necessarily the hero of his own life story. John Barth (1930 - )
