I'm a Television Producer, a writer, and an artist. I've recently secured an option for "The Wraeththu Chronicles," a brilliant fantasy book series from author Storm Constantine. After a friend recommended the books to me a few years back, I found that I couldn't put them down. The characters and their stories seemed to grab me by the scruff of the neck and demand that I do something to bring them to the screen. I intend to develop "The Wraeththu Chronicles" into the most imaginative television series anyone has ever seen!

The Wraeththu Television Series Logline:
Humanity becomes obsolete when a hermaphodite race called Wraeththu emerges to repopulate the planet.
Summary:
Evolution has apparently lurched forward in order to create Wraeththu, a stronger, more durable race that is also of combined sex. "The Wraeththu Chronicles," a sexy, gender-bending fantastical romp based on the novels by Storm Constantine, follows the stories of the first generations of Wraeththu as they strive to learn from Humanity's mistakes.
In addition to developing Wraeththu, I'm prepping a new series for Showtime called "Nurse Jackie." The show stars Edie Falco as a nurse who does whatever she can to insure the best care for her patients, in spite of a faulty health care system and the occasional careless doctor. Nurse Jackie also has a prescription "substance issue" so at times her reality seems to warp a bit. It's a great show, and Edie is wonderful in it. We should be airing next summer, paired up with the new season of "Weeds."
Earlier in the year I wrapped as Co-Producer on a one-hour scripted family drama for The CW Network called "Life Is Wild." The show was written and Post Produced here in New York, but everything was shot on location in South Africa. It turned out to be a lovely one and only season. The writers strike shut us down after only 13 episodes, and then when the strike was over, the show never got to come back.
Last year I worked on the first season of the Emmy Award winning "30 Rock" for NBC. What a blast. Tina Fey is the coolest, and has made a really smart show. It was an awesome group of people to work with. I have been so blessed.
Before "30 Rock," I helped produce 67 episodes of Bravo's "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." Immediately before Queer Eye, I worked for 5 seasons on HBO's "Sex and the City" where I had the ride of my life! Previous to working on "Sex," I worked on Universal's "Hercules" and "Xena: Warrior Princess," which brought me down to the heavenly country of New Zealand.
I've loved working on all these shows, and in each case, the talented folks I had the privilege to work with have become a sort of extended family.
Here's my immediate family:
That's me on the left of the picture. On the right is my lovely husband Chris. After 11 years together, I sometimes still can't believe how lucky I am to have such an incredible partner in life. We just got back from getting married in Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod. The act of having a wedding was for us nothing short of transformational. We brought our families and friends together to form one bonded family. I'm so grateful that we were able to have this remarkable event!
Sitting between us in the picture is Jezebel, our 3-year-old golden retriever. She is such a beautiful sweet girl, we get stopped all the time when we walk her around our neighborhood in Manhattan. At the moment, her repertoire of tricks includes - fetch, sit, shake, low-five, high-five, and catch the biscuit. She's into heavy petting and long walks on the beach!
A while back, I made a trip to the UK to meet with Storm. It was fantastic to be able to hear the exotic author herself describe the journey that led to the creation of the imaginative world of Wraeththu. It was an amazing beginning to the long journey of bringing a series such as Wraeththu to fruition.
I have many creative outlets because I'm interested in everything life has to offer. Six years ago I co-founded a dance company called AXIS DANZ.
A year ago last March, a benefit performance called "Move The World" launched our fund raising efforts towards the mounting of our first full contemporary dance production. This past November, Axis Danz presented "With a Twist," at the historic Wings Theater in Greenwich Village. The 45-minute collection of various works in progress truly broke exciting new ground for the art form of flag dance. We're now building towards a full production in Spring 2008 called "All Axis, No Exit."
Check out these cool videos from the show!

As you can imagine, we're very excited about the direction of the company, as well as the positive reception we're getting from the contemporary dance community.
Here are also a few excerpts from our "Move The World" benefit.
"Quartet for Wind" had its World Premier at Dancers Responding to AIDS this past Summer. Jen Carlson, long time company member, now our Artistic Director, choreographed this beautiful joyful piece.
