Kezia Ayers seems to be building momentum in just three years of being on the music scene. She has had three of her songs including “Too Small to Ignoreâ€, played on the Air Force Academy radio station KAFA 97.7 FM; and has played in renowned venues from Colorado to Austin, Texas. Entering 2008, the Association of Christian Schools International is using her hit single “Too Small to Ignore†for national conferences. Her desire to make a positive impact on the world through artistry is why she has been coined as a “Renaissance Woman†by (The Woodmen Edition).Being a classically trained cellist and student of music theory, Kezia wrote her first song at 13 years old. However, it was not until her college years at the Fashion Institute of Technology that she picked up the guitar and developed her songwriting. With the combination of the fast pace life of New York and her faith, her songwriting took a turn to look past the glitz and glamour of the fashion industry. As her heart for those in poverty and despair grew, many of her songs became about social injustices and cultural difficulties. It is clear to see why so many are enthusiastic about this “Renaissance Woman.†Hearing Kezia’s sultry voice and thought provoking lyrics, sooths the soul as it pushes the spirit to soar past what seems common. With ASCAP, just inducting Kezia as a member, proves why she is seriously on her way to becoming a monumental force in the music industry.(For more info on Kezia Ayers please read the featured article on her “blogâ€).
