..Born around Chicago, his family moved to the southern state of Alabama where he attended school. He now resides in a small town in NW Alabama that he calls home.SKiffy learned to play the guitar at the age of 15 and was obsessed with learning every style of music.
A major influence was was Eugene Flippo and his dad Gene. Because of their talent and leadership, many upcoming musicians quickly became working musicians.He grew up in a time when many new cutting edge guitar players such as Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, George Benson, John McLaughlin, and Al DeMeoli were changing music as we know it.
Listening to these musicians made learning easy after practicing for hours at a time.
