Created in 2003, Using Hopes is what we could call a modern metal band. Mixing a lot of metal genres, people always use differents genres about them. Some say Melodic death, Neo metal, dark metal... We just say “metal”. Using Hopes is a mix between every members influences. An important part of the music is Anne's incredible voice. The main different with a lot of others melodic metal bands is that she learned to sing with a clear voice before the dirty one. Don't wait for some crappy melodies as emo and/or metalcore bands. Hear it by yourself.
After a few change in the line up, the band finally found a good composition with Mac (bass) and Gaz (drums). A 3 tracks demo was recorded at the end of 2006. These are the tracks you can hear on Myspace. A couple of new songs should be released mid 2008 and some shows are already planned with bands such as Zuul Fx, The seven gates or Hacride. Let's get ready for some brutal music !!

Créé en 2003 par Nicolas et Clément, tous deux guitaristes, c’est avec Anne (chant) et une boîte à rythmes que l’aventure a commencé.
Très vite rejoint par Vladimir (batterie), le groupe évolue dans un style varié et original qui ne manqua pas de rencontrer un certains succès lors de leurs premiers concerts donnés dans la région de Belley dans l’Ain (d’où sont originaires les membres). Vladimir ayant quitté le groupe durant l’été 2004, c’est finalement Gaz qui le remplaça aux fûts. A peu près dans le même temps, Mac (basse) a rejoint également les rangs, permettant au groupe d’obtenir plus de profondeur dans le son.
Il est difficile de classer le genre de métal dans lequel ils évoluent. Certains parlent de death mélodique, de dark métal, de néo métal… Le mot d’ordre général restant la puissance des morceaux.
Une démo 3 titres a été enregistrée en 2007 et rend ainsi mieux compte de la musique actuelle du groupe. Ces titres sont en écoute sur Myspace.
