About Me

If there is only one thing you ever know about me, know this...

My Interests

Ceramics, painting, drawing, listening to rockin' tunes, playing rockin' tunes, reading, a good pipe, a good beer, especially if I made it myself, observing the world, doing things for myself

I'd like to meet:

Matt Long...wait, didn't I already do that?

Music:

In no particular order... AC/DC, And you will know us by the Trail of Dead, American Head Charge, Anti-flag, Bad Wizard, BLS, Black Sabbath, Johnny Cash, George Clinton & P-funk, Coal Chamber, DAC, CCR, Charlie Daniels Band, The Decemberists, Devildriver, The Dillards, Dirty 30's, Drive by Truckers, The Doors, Flaming Lips, Hayseed Dixie, Jimi Hendrix, Waylon Jennings, Jet, Kittie, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Metallica, Minor Threat, The Monads, Motorhead, Mudvayne, Willie Nelson, Nomad, Oasis, Ozzy, Pantera, Johnny Paycheck, Powerman 5000, Primus, '73 Cougar, Serart, Slipknot, Soil, Soulfly, Static-X, Sublime, Super 8 Bit Brothers, SOAD, Tenacious D, Tub Ring, Josh Turner, Type-O-Negative, Weezer, Rob/White Zombie, Hank Sr. Jr. & III, Woodbox Gang, ZZ Top, Etc.

Movies:

Horror, comedy, indiependent films, thrillers, drama...they are all good. Well, maybe not good but usually pretty entertaining.

Television:

Television is a mind numbing invention that has led to people being inactive, uncreative, lazy and over weight. The world would have probably been better off if television had never been invented.

Books:

Much like movies, I enjoy books in all their many forms. Non-fiction, horror, suspense, fantasy/sci-fi, drama, poetry, text books, etc. As long as it has a decent story (and sometimes even if it does not) or covers a topic that is interesting I will read it.

Heroes:

The people who know they can never make it but keep trying anyway.

I wish I had a time machine

I was most sincerely and most undoubtedly born in the wrong decade.  I am not entirely sure what decade I should have been born in, but it sure as heck was not this one.  Here I sit, watchin...

Get drunk for Crosstown!

Crosstown is in dire need of help after the tornado wiped it out a few weeks ago.  The folks who put together the Altenburg Fair (the best little fair around) decided to put together a second fai...

Big, big, big, big, BIG news!

The absolute craziest thing happened over the past weekend.  I was just hanging out at my younger brother's 21st birthday party, getting ready to sing kraoke, and the next thing I know I've got a...

Herbal extract log

Day 1, August 4, 2005 Today I started taking "the Red Stuff" and it was not at all pleasant.  Rather, the manner in which I consumed it was very much distasteful.  It is not very wise to thr...
