Amytis was the Babylonian queen who inspired King Nebuchadnezzar II to build the hanging gardens of Babylon. We want our music to be Inspiration as well as beautiful, thus we choose the name Amytis. We are a melodic metal/hardcore band form Concord/Harrisburg, North Carolina. After other failed attempts of starting bands by Tim, Alex and Harrison went to work looking again. Not long after Christian, who was a friend and a member of a deceased rising band from Charlotte came upon us, and that is where we became what we are today. We came together with the goal of making our own sound. We are all influenced by different styles and we try to make our own mix of truly original music. We are now attempting to become a name in the Charlotte music scene. We have paid our dues and now are looking to bring our music to you.
