Good Music! Save the music...somebody please. When i go to my friends pages...they all seem to list so many of the same artists that i would mention. Thats a representation of our ecclectic genertaion. I grew up with Al Green, The Pointer Sisters, David Bowe, The Beatles, Parliment Funkadelic, Earth Wind and Fire. Stevie Wonder, Motown, the Stones, Sly, Hendrix, Zepplin, The Police... and the greats of jazz and classical. Turned to kroq and heard Rick James, The Pretenders, B52s, Gang of Four, PIL and was so into new wave (the good kind) I, unknowingly became a fan of music made with an electric keyboard(sorry) I then found KDAY, Public Enemy, Eric B. and Rakim, Ice Cube and Salt & Pepa. One day came, Bob, Peter, Toots, Black Uhuru and Steel Pulse. A friend finally turned me on to early jamaican music. From that moment I became hooked on the magic of Ska, Rocksteady, Dub and oldschool reggae. Oh man.....I have to mention the Clash!!!! Saw them when I was 12 - they flipped us off right before they exited in their helicopter. I have been blessed to attend some amazing concerts!!! Local favs: Expanders, Debonaires, Hepcat, Fishbone, CMC, Seespot, , Joey Altrudas Classic Riddims, Irie Beats, L.A. Allstars, Aggrolites,Seespot and the local D.J.s

How fitting that this was the only place to put my slide show. With all the reality T.V. taking over.... I am my favorite T.V. show!
READ!!! I noticed everyone has Catcher In the Rye on their list. Great book to get a reader started on a new reading experience...and...Fear and Loathing too. You know... at age 13. I love Steinbeck and plays!!! all of them! The Allegory Cave opened my eyes. Deepak Chopra helps me daily. Recently turned on to The Prophet. Simple reading with complex thought. And first person storytelling.
Real or fictional??? MLK, Bob Marley, Ghandi, Mandela, Al Gore, Rage Against the Machine, and John Lennon are a few. Anyone that puts up a good fight!!! And all women that make it happen!!! Or any WOMAN dangit!!! After all, we give birth. Like Ma Joad. Playing Ma Joad made me my own hero..a true inspiration to help me see life goes on. There are too many heroes to name but not enough new heroes to follow! My Mom ofcourse!!And my dad.....RIP
