About Me

Hello everyone, I'm Mike Mosier. I was born in Beacon, NY 54 years ago but came to TN when I was 3 months old. I had a happy childhood living in Belfast, TN, and continuing the contented life here in Lewisburg. I'm currently teaching over 20 guitar students, all ages and levels, with most of them in Shelbyville at the Shelbyville Record Shop. I occasionally read the guitar score for a musical in the theater and play jobs occasionally including weddings, Jazz or other venues.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My family and relatives are spread out with my parents living in Orlando, FL, my brother living in Pensacola, sisters living in around Murfreesboro, TN, and cousins here, Virginia, and Buffalo, NY. My personal friends are all over the Eastern half of the U. S. Since joining MySpace, they're all over the world.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chet Atkins is my strongest guitar influence with Wes Montgomery, Johnny Smith, George Barnes, and other jazz guitarists trailing behind. I like Eric Clapton because I feel his soul in his performances, Carlos Santana for being a complete individual in his craft, and very special guitarists like Scotty Moore, the legendary Hank Garland, and a long time county neighbor, Grady Martin, who I never got to meet. I'm fortunate to know Grady's son, Tal, who has Down On The Farm recording studios out in the Verona area.~~~~~~ The above a just a fraction of great guitarists out there, but if you explore my friends, you'll find some facinating musicians, the best you'll ever find, and their unique ways of performance. I'm hypnotized with some of these artists.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our thanks to Tom for extra spaces on our players. I'll be doing a complete overhaul after the first of the year.
