About Me

Marcella Runell Hall...I am workinging on my doctorate in Social Justice Education. I finished my course work and have now started my research on the influence of hip hop culture on educators' identity, politics and pedagogy. I am adjunct faculty for Bank Street College and Umass. I also freelance for the New York Times Learning Network, www.nytimes.com/learning. And, perhaps my biggest sense of pride comes from being the Co-Director of Education for the Hip-Hop Association...www.hiphopassociation.org (H2Ed).I also really like planning events/parties so I try to do that when I have free time. In the meantime, I love traveling and have been able to travel a lot, but still have so many more places to go...And in December 2005 I moved back to Brooklyn after a 3 1/2 year hiatus in Western Mass for grad school...and I am so very happy to be back.
