About Me

Vets4Victory.com is the wesbite for "Vets for Victory." Our mission is simple: to engage and change public sentiment to achieve victory in the war on terror. It is staffed mostly by veterans of the Global War on Terror. Our goal is to change public sentiment to let the soldiers get the job done. Getting the word out that the camapign in Iraq is the right thing to do is something that veterans of this war understand! Critics of the Iraq war would like to wave the white flag in defeat with little understanding of the truth on the ground.Lt Col Steve Russell was the commander of the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry "Regulars" in 2003-04. His was the unit that was a major player in the hunting down and capturing of Saddam Hussein." Our founders are retired Army officers, both Iraq veterans: Retired Lt Col Scott Rutter commanded the 2/7 Infantry "Cottonbalers" during the invasion of Iraq and subsequent toppling of the Saddam Hussein regime. LTC Rutter's unit assaulted Baghdad International Airport, and it was one of HIS troops, Sgt. 1st Class Paul Ray Smith, who was awarded the first Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in saving his Soldiers lives at Baghdad Airport. Along with these two fine men, thousands of veterans of these campaigns are fighting the good fight here on the home front. We are fighting to ensure that our troops on the front lines continue to receive the funds necessary to pay for armored vehicles such as the cutting-edge MRAP, up-armored Humvees, and even new types of body armor and ammuntion. We are fighting to ensure that our troops no longer have to be embarrassed by people like Harry Reid, who has accepted defeat before the war is done, and Donald Murtha who has called time and time again for a pull out. We are fighting for our troops on the front lines, and our troops and veterans here at home who are embarassed by those who would call the war illegal, and demand we pull out in defeat. We ask for your support, and not just in words or by buying a magnet for your car. Really support us! Support our war! Support Victory!
