Rob Sekay is a DJ based out of Pensacola, FL. He specializes in the underground sounds of Breaks, Electro, and Grime, as well as an occasional House and Drum&Bass turn. Loved & hated, but much appreciated, only a few have played a more pivotal role in the cultivation of an underground scene in Pensacola, as well as its constant raising of the bar for quality events as this man. The oldest son of a succesful and accomplished house DJ from the 80s era of Morales, Knuckles, Todd Terry and Masters at Work, It would appear that Sekay was born to be involved in nightlife. True to form, he has been actively involved in the underground from the age of 15 when he was taught the basics of mixing music, maching beats, and party rocking 101. At 16 he was introduced to the peak of rave culture in America and a passing hobby was instantly transformed into an obsession that is nearing its first decade of successes and dues paid...
         
Both as an active club promoter as well as a dj, Sekay has had his hands in making things happen primarilly along the Gulf Coast of Florida, but also has substantial event production credits in Miami, New Orleans, Okinawa Japan, and has played in several cities nationwide with some of your favorite big name DJs. At only 24, Sekay has marked achievements and progress in his career that some havent reached until their 30s. This diverse wealth of experience both home and abroad has been one of the driving factors behind his burgeoning successes both behind the decks and on the street pushing shows.
         
More then anything else driving Sekay's journey up and out into the limelight, however, is perhaps his dedication and true desire to support & help anyone trying to make a professional impact in dance music, as well as his dedication to the Gulf Coast, where he constantly aims to raise the bar both for production quality, show attendance, and especially proper compensation for fellow local indie DJs in the area, always remembering his first few offical club bookings for as little as $10 or $20 in the area.
         
Recently, Sekay has marged all his event and marketing interests into fast rising music imprint Foul Play records based in Ft. Walton Beach. Bringing a fresh perspective and his signature marketing touch to the diverse Foul Play interests, it will definately be exiting to watch this new chapter unfold on the emerald coast, New Orleans to Jacksonville and beyond, live and on wax as well.Bio By A.
