It's a great day to be alive...

About Me

Cali to the NYC. Known as "bridge and tunnel" because I live in Jerz and work in Manhattan.Sun-seeking sports lover who hopes to change lives through my work.Doesn't "sit still" well, so I'm always on the go, finding mischief and meeting fascinating people. Former dancer and member of the "Gotcha Girls".Missing my family in Bakersfield, but definitely appreciating all that NYC has to offer. This city is incredible! My heart is full with Christian faith and the Lord's joy. God is so amazing and incredibly faithful to each of us, everyday.Ohhh, and I'm cRaZy bout the numba *eiGHt*!!!!

My Interests

Christian faith; Crazy about all SPORTS (college or pro); Traveling to anywhere and everywhere; Dancin' (hip hop, ballet, jazz); Exploring New York City (which sometimes leads to trouble); Broadway, Jazz music, Dance shows;

I'd like to meet:

Fun and interesting people who will do anything. People who will look under the rock, not just walk around it. Random and spontaneous joke-playing, much preferred. People with open minds and diverse interests. I am a proud UCLA Bruin, so I DO hate on USC Alum (or all the bandwagon fans who have recently jumped on the Trojan ride).

Music:

Grew up Country, but the NYC doesn't have much of that. So, I blend in Hip Hop, R & B, Pop, Alternative, Christian, Gospel ... whatever is on my Ipod. John Mayer, Common and Maroon 5 are always possibilities. B'way tunes, if I've seen the show. NYC has me appreciating true jazz and amazing gospel.

Movies:

Love and Basketball (best movie ever), Brown Sugar, The Brothers, Godfather (all), Pretty Woman, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, You've Got Mail, Dangerous Beauty, Tommy Boy

Television:

There is ALWAYS a sports game to watch... but I also add in some SportsCenter, ESPN College Game Day, Las Vegas, Grey's Anatomy, PREPS- Chicago Hoops, Kevin Hill, Soul Food, The Wedding Story, Best Damn Sports Show Period, SoCal Sports Report, West Wing (early seasons), Felicity, Inside the Actors Studio.

Books:

Coach Wooden, Who Moved My Cheese?, The Last Season, Angel's Grace, They Call Me Coach, *anything* by Nicholas Sparks, Pollyanna, Purpose-Driven Life, Intimate Moments with the Savior, Bible

Heroes:

My parents and John Wooden

My Blog

My favorite quote

Light Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I ...
