I started my musical career at the early age of four, my mother being a teacher for violoncello and piano at the local music academy in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. My first two years of attendance marked playing flute when at the age of six I changed over to learn the skills of violin for 5 years. I also attended a few courses of orchestral teachings of music methods and theory, before I quit the musical schooling at the age of 13.

I started out making music in 1982 in a punk outfit called LADEHEMMUNG . Soon after that I decided to start my own metal band as a singer under the moniker of METAL DAZE where my bandmates were former LADEHEMMUNG drummer Michael Kutter, a guitarist called Otto Jezek and bassist Lax Haller. We recorded a first demo in 1984 entitled "Tales From A Forgotten World". Soon after that, a guy called Attila Szoradi would join the band for about six months before he emigrated to the US. That period marked a kind of "Iron Maiden" influenced songwriting in METAL DAZE before the band would eventually split up in late 1985. In 1986, me and Michael joined forces with Walter Oberhofer (git) and Michael Burkhard (git) to form DECEIVER . This band recorded two demos, one self-recorded as a four track recording, the later in a local studio in their hometown with professional help. After taking part in some local band battles and other band contests, DECEIVER would split up in late 1987.

In August 1989 I was asked to join a thrash metal outfit called DISGRACE featuring former bandmate Oberhofer on guitar, Peter Böhm on bass, Robert Grögler on drums and Adi Boisits on second guitar. In early 1990 this band recorded a demo called "The Cats Of Ulthar". Later in the year the band would support bands like WATCHTOWER, CORONER, TORMENTOR and NECRONOMICON. We also took part in the ABC Marshall Heavy Metal Battle were we reached the final in which they ended up in fourth place supporting MEKONG DELTA on the night of the final event. Already then the band had a strong following in Czech Republic with a bus full of fans coming to the show in Vienna supporting them.

The winning band in that contest, RAVENOUS, asked me later on to help them out with the lyrics for their album to be released on Aargh Records, produced by Ralph Hubert, the bass player and mainman behind MEKONG DELTA.

DISGRACE would split up in the end of 1990 leaving me without band for a few months, when in summer of 1991 Böhm and Grögler called me up to join their new band DARKSIDE . I joined them for a few months in which I played bass and took care of the vocal duties before due to personal differences I announced my departure. In October 1992 DARKSIDE would ask me to join them by taking care of the keyboards they wanted to add to their sound. Ever since then I have been a member of DARKSIDE .

In 1999 the producer of DARKSIDE s third album "Evolution", Milos Dodo Dolezal asked me to join him on a project called WAVES . We recorded an album consisting of eight songs, each of them dealing with the theme of the element water. I contributed the vocals on two songs as well as a bunch of keyboards to this album, were me and Dodo were joined by SKULLCRUSHERs drummer Wolfgang Rathgeb.

Some more cooperations included some tribute albums for american label Dwell Records as well as some studio cooperations with czech doom monsters SILENT STREAM OF GODLESS ELEGY as well as czech speed metal mongers WOLFRAM and a cross-over hardcore outfit called SATISFUCKTION.

In 2003 finally, Vienna´s finest thrash metal outfit DEMOLITION approached me to help them out on the vocalists position for their upcoming album and I ended up in the frontmans position to join DEMOLITION as their new singer. In late 2003 the cooperation of me and Thomas Pippersteiner was extended also on DARKSIDE with Thomas joining the "coven of the deathgods"
