Punk rock has had a long great history of music and ideas and now the term. "Punk" is bieng used for any and everything. from My Chemical Romance to Green Day and even to some Death metal, people are sliding the label "punk" on anything they think is cool. Nowadays Punk is almost dead.. now we arent saying that punk is dead, but it is dying very quickly. most of the actual punk rock that is still around nowadays is a mixture of Hardcore rock and Punk rock not to be confused with Hardcore Punk.Punk will always be around but if we don't do something quick.. will it still be alive? None of us like the idea of this but, it is something we should really think about.New EntryPeople should not "try" to be punk, the fact is that being a punk is bieng yourself and not following others, but a lot of people have fallen under the idea that there is an image to be placed on punk, wether it is mohawks or leather jackets or whatever it might be. What i am trying to say is that too many people in todays world that are in any way related to punk are trying to be punk and claiming to bieng themselves instead of accualy bieng a punk rocker and be themselves which makes them a punkJoey Ramone once said: "Im a punk the same way that elvis is a punk.
