Yeah.Founded in early 2000, $hitkicker started a major buzz on stonerrock.com, mainly due to their Thrust-SSC websingle featured on their first 4-track-E.P "Stone Me IntoThe Groove", recorded at the Soundwork Studios in Altenstadt. As with any controversial band, some disastrous reviews followed - at this point the band would like to express the warmest feelings towards the Sweden-based critic, you know who you are. We don’t know if you’re still around in the biz, we certainly are.In 2002 $hitkicker recorded the follow-up The Day At The Race, again the Soundwork Studios Altenstadt proved to be the facility of choice.Three days of stoner mayhem and delirium were all it took to get the nine tracks down - all meters in the red, man! The raw straight-in-the-face sound of this album pretty much speaks for itself, another stoner rock tour de force was born. Thanks to bass hero Heinz - the groovemeister himself - the track Diesel Drunk was included on the album. Recorded in the middle of the night by a band stoned as hell and ready to roll the song started yet another uproar in the local stoner community.In 2003 the band had to face several line-up changes - Heinz moved on to pursue other goals,about ten weeks later El Porno joined the band - only to depart the next summer.The following year has seen many bass players come and go, nonetheless the band still managed to record Road Demon Rising, Cowboy Krueger dealing out the low-end punch.Immediately after the recording sessions Krueger was replaced by an old friend of the band,Weird Beard.About a year later the current line-up finally emerged with Atila on bass guitar and his school buddy Kabuki working them damn guitars. Again "modern guitar technique-exorcism" had to be performed by Kalle, after a couple of weeks the Mojo was back.The $hitties are back and out to get you.Beware.Be stoned.Make sure to check the current tour dates - sooner or later $hitkicker will rock your town.
