Aaron’s unique blend of production talent and DJ skills have been igniting clubs and intriguing listeners all over the world, and his fan base is growing. From all over, fans are making extra efforts to be able to see DJ Aaron J bring it hard and heavy. But although Aaron has skills on the decks, his biggest fan draw has always been his selfless attitude towards the music he plays. His devotion to up-and-coming artists and the individual attention he gives to fans makes him a popular figure in many electronic circles. His current projects and influences include a dirty Electro/House DJ collective, a viral marketing company, a management company, and a production company. All of these projects exist to further dirty house music as a genre around the world.DJ Aaron J got his start spinning at an after hours industrial and new wave club at only 15 years old. Through the late 80’s he moved through acid-house and new beat, and quickly became one of the largest importers of new beat music in his home state of Texas. Although always important in the south-west scene, it wasn’t until moving to Albuquerque that he found his niche. In the early 90’s DJ Aaron J enjoyed a number of residencies, appearances with DJ's such as Ron D Core and Jon Bishop, and a lasting friendship with Scott and Jason of Deepsky. In the mid 90’s Aaron’s focus shifted to producing, and he found himself working on numerous projects ranging from new age to jazz, and soundtracks to commercials. A passion developed for music production during this time, and his first original music project, Universal Beat Embassy, was born. 1997 brought the creation of Collective Conscience, a world wide collaboration of DJ’s that included DJ H geek, releveleR, and Steven Koopmanschap. During this time, Aaron also found success on the newly formed MP3.com with his “joke†musical project The Cranberry Conspiracy. Claming to be from “Christmas Island†and communicating only in broken English, fans enjoyed their playful style and irreverent attitudes. The next big project came through Turbo Ted, one of the founding fathers of Burning Man. Ted had created the groundbreaking style speedbass, and wanted to involve Aaron’s new project Ikkimoo. Once it got off the ground, Ikkimoo had a worldwide following. Ikkimoo, Universal Beat Embassy and various other production projects kept Aaron busy through 2001, when he decided to take some time off to focus on working with local talent. But in 2005, the draw of electronic music became too much, and DJ Aaron J was reborn. He came back strong with the Svengalli Project, and once again decided to poke fun of the club scene with a brand new Ikkimoo album. This brings us to the present day, and DJ Aaron J’s love of Tech House and Electro House. He regained a passion for playing exciting music, and it becomes obvious whenever he spins. His biggest project right now is Unison Media, the parent company for many of his other musical endeavors. He is also involved with Masterplan Management, a music management company devoted to dirty house and electro, and Epidemic, a viral marketing company that targets within the electronic music scene. And although it takes less of a precedence, Ikkimoo is still an important creative outlet for emerging electronic themes. DJ Aaron J’s latest and most ambitious move has been the creation of Dirty Minded, a super collective of dirty Tech House and Electro House DJs and producers. Always focused on collaboration, Aaron is continually striving to make a difference in the lives of DJ’s, artists and producers everywhere.Founder of:
