Meandering to the beat of a different drummer.

About Me

How I made my profile: I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace profile editor . I am a freelance drummer/pianist/web designer born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) with a BS in Computer & Information Science but I am not your typical computer geek! Besides working with computers, I have always been very active in music. I have toured with drum & bugle corps for a number of years, first playing in the pit and then marching on bass drum with the Marion Cadets. For the premier season of Limited Edition, I marched snare drum and represented the corps as a member of the DCM All-Star Drum & Bugle Corps marching on quads. While at OSU, I was a five-year member of the OSU Marching Band playing snare drum, and played drum set in the OSU Jazz Combos, OSU Jazz Lab Ensemble, and the OSU Jazz Ensemble receiving the Tri-C award for outstanding musicianship.

Past groups I have drummed with: The Michael Arnold Group playing contemporary jazz/fusion, the Michael Arnold Trio playing traditional jazz, Vince Andrews playing contemporary and traditional jazz, and I also played keys with The Patrol performing a mix of jazz and funk.

Currently, I play drums with "The Silky Ray Band" performing rhythm & blues, jazz, and funk, with "The Missing Link" playing a mix of jazz, and with "After Hours" playing traditional and contemporary jazz. Also, I currently play keyboards with Mojo Jack, The Soriano Duo , and perform solo piano gigs.

I have a wide range of interests: many styles of music (especially jazz), playing drum set, timbales and piano, snow skiing, rollerblading, tennis, racquetball, and dancing (mainly salsa, merengue, bachata, some cha cha, swing, and freestyle/hip-hop).
