Rodney's Interests
Motorcycling, Photography, Computers, Music, Reading, and 40's, 50's & some modern, mostly retro-fashions Pinup Photography and Art. Not all the modern models I like and will feature here are retro however.
This MySpace site is all about the pinup art and photography I enjoy. It also will feature some of my own non-pinup related photography work.
Examples of photo models I like include the forever famous queen of the pinups, Bettie Page, and modern day retro fashion models I have discovered such as Bernie Dexter (sooo beautiful!!!), Teagan Marie, Lola Bel Aire, and more. Many of the modern retro girls are associated with the Rockabilly music (love it!) and auto-show scenes. These ladies and thier work will be regularly featured on this site. I particularly appreciate the reasonably clothed & classy stuff many of them do.
Some of the pinup artists I like include Olivia, Gil Elvgren, Al Buell, Rolf Armstrong, Edward D'Ancona, Billy De Vorss, Earl Mac Pherson, Edward Runci & several others. I discover new ones regularly. Again, thier work I most enjoy is classy and clothed enough that I can hang it on my living room wall without worrying that my church friends might consider it innapropriate. I can't speak for everyone of course.
Links to the motorcycle organizations of which I am a part are shown below.

Rodney's Favorite Pinup Girls
The slides presented here are a random selection of photos of models whose work I enjoy. The models name is displayed below each picture. Links to the MySpace pages of those models can be found in my Friends List in the left column of this page. Please visit thier sites and support and encourage them if you like thier work like I do.
I would like to point out that Karling Abbeygate is not really a model but a country/rockabilly singer but some of her photos were worth including and she did not mind being featured with the rest of the true models. Give her some encouragement if you think she should do more modeling.
I hate to play favorites here, but I believe that Bernie Dexter is the reigning beauty queen of the retro-fashion pinup world today and I also believe that in future years she will become as well known as the queen of 50's pinup world, Miss Bettie Page herself. Bernie is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful women alive today! That smile is like a million watt light bulb!
Bettie Page is my favorite model from the past and simply has no competion! Many models of today have styled themselves after her with those famous bangs and that wicked yet innocent smile. Her influence on the modeling, fashion, and art worlds has been nothing less than profound. She has enspired many artists and even musicians, including the awesome pinup artist Olivia to create tribute works that will be enjoyed by millions of her fans for all time.
Rodney's Photography
I worked for eight years as a photographer for the Air Force upon graduation from high school and then changed careers and walked away from it because for me, half the creative process was in the darkroom and I couldn't really afford one of my own along with the supplies. But recently I invested in a good digital SLR and am getting back into it that way. The slide show below is a sampling of my work, both from years ago, and current work. Enjoy!
