The most dangerous people are the ignorant.

About Me

I've been needing to update this for a very long time now, so here we go...I'm originally from Eureka, CA...an intersting coastal town hidden behind the redwood curtain, but I've been living in Sonoma county since 1994. I'm happily unmarried and have a beautiful daughter, who never ceases to amaze me.
I work as a nurse in a cardiology office. It's a cool job...working with people, not being behind a desk all day...love it. My coworkers rock, we get along great and have fun through out the day. I read the obituaries daily to see if any of our patients have died (majority of the time, this is how we find out).
I love all things old, especially mid century clothes and accessories. I enjoy reworking damaged vintage jewelery into new jewelry, collecting vintage clothes...which from time to time I do sell...but ebay sucks A$$ so, I'll be listing on etsy from now on.
Choices in life are always made much easier by a magic 8 ball, so go ahead and ask away!

My Interests

Thrift stores, flea markets, estate sales...anywhere I may find something incredible!

Mid century everything especially clothes and accessories, furniture, housewares, hot rods and custom cars.

Kitchy stuff...tiki's, vintage hawaiian, kitchy catholic religious items, pink flamingos, and stuff like that.

Cocktails, especially stoli rasberry cosmos and mai tais with sailor jerry rum.

Going to the beach, swimming in Humboldt rivers, bike rides with my daughter...being outdoors in general.

I'm crafty, I love DIY projects. I sew, crochet, make kitchy jewely from damaged vintage jewels and photography. I like painting too, but haven't for years.

Low brow art, well art in general. I love seeing what people create.

Farmers markets, Trader Joes, and Tims spinach and mushroom soup at Olivers.

MAC makeup and hair dye.

I'd like to meet:

Movies:

Comedies, drama, suspense, scary movies...

Anything by David Lynch, John Waters, Quentin Tarantino, or Robert Rodriguez.

Speaking of Robert Rodriguez, way back in the 90's he did ROADRACERS. It's kind of hard to find since it's not on DVD, but if you find it and you have a VCR..watch it, it's really good!

Television:

Hopefully soon Project Runway and Ghost Hunters will be back on.

I just discovered My Big Redneck Wedding", it's the only reality show worth watching. It's hella funny...check it out (on the country music channel).

Books:

Crafty how to books like PAD.

The vintage how to books are always cool...you can learn how to make tables, and even reuphoulster a couch!

Anything on vintage fashion and accessories!

And when I'm feeling the need for something a little less educational I'm reading true crime. I haven't read this one yet, but is is on my to read list.

My Blog

Do you ever wonder where things come from?

I found this in my backyard.  Don't you ever wonder where they'll end up when they are quickly traveling far above your head?  I do, sometimes I'll watch them until they disappear. I o...

Loads of fun, and I was definetly not the only newbie there.  Well, I'm not totally new at, me and Audra went about 11-12yrs ago.  Half the fun was laughing at people falling down. ...
