DJ Lock Mess

DJ Lock Mess has taken his Scratch Style of DJing from the studio to the stage, for over a decade.This 2006 recipient for Best DJ (Hartford Advocate Grand Band Slam) formerly resided with the Hip-Hop/Funk band ZBC. (Zigs & Batts Circus). He now holds court with his new band Otherwise, a yet to be defined eclectic mix of all that is dope! Blending live improvisation with studio production, DJ Lock Mess has found his place with live musicians.His recent works include co-production, and featured artist on Matt Zigs Presents: Super Heroes & Villains (2005) Zigs & Batts Galapagos Project (2005) and Joey Batts Seven Deadly Sins. (2006)Past accomplishments include: Accidental Groove Band (1995-2001) Accidental Grooves Home By Eleven (2000) and the AG EP (2001) Doug Wimbish's (Wimbash CT 06 & 07) 07 with Living Color.DJ Lock Mess has also shared billing with artists such as, 311, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Method Man, and The Ying Yang Twins.Blending DJ skills from the past with the technology of today, DJ Lock Mess continues exploring the possibilities of the turntable.
