CRITERIA

Criteria nace en Mayo de 2005 a traves del Bateria Sergio Valera(Ex Sinium) y la Vocalista Marta Varela.Junto con el Bajista Alfredo y tras la incorporacion de ex guitarrista de Crienium e Hysteria Carlos Santos el grupo comienza su andadura. Tras el concierto de debut y la grabacion de su primera demo:Criteria(2005) autoproducida,Alfredo abandona la banda y es sustituido por Daniel de Madariaga. Tras varios conciertos mas se incorpora una segunda Guitarra:Daniel Belena(Roger),actuando en los concursos de Silikona y Rockcinante entre otros. Con esta formacion Criteria graba su segunda demo :La noche del cazador. en Julio de 2006 en los estudios el lado izquierdo consiguiendo un sonido mas cercano al potencial de la banda,contando con la colaboracion a los coros de Jaime Garcia(Dr Jeckyll) y Jorge de la cuerda(Eden lost) entre otros. En Noviembre de 2006 Daniel de Madariaga decide abandonar para formar en las filas de Inner Beast y es sustituido por Antonio Martin Tras realizar varios conciertos con una buena aceptacion en Julio de 2007 Daniel Belena(Roger) abandona el grupo por problemas personales y Criteria se pone manos a la obra en la busqueda de sustituto hasta que se consolida acualmente la formacion con la llegada de Juan Castillo a la guitarra En Febrero de 2008 Criteria ha terminado lo que es hasta ahora su ultimo trabajo:un EP autofinanciado que lleva por nombre"La Herejia" mientras continua trabajando en nuevos temas para los proximos conciertos made with the Cosmoedit Myspace Editor

Criteria was born by May 2005 with the drummer Sergio Valera (Ex-Sinium) and the singer Marta Varela as its founders, together with Alfredo (bass). After the incorporation to the band of the guitarist Carlos Santos (ex-Crienium and ex-Hysteria), the band starts its way. Some months later, after the recording of the first demo (“Criteria”, 2005, self-produced) and the debut gig, Alfredo left the band being substituted by Daniel de Madariaga. Then, a second guitarist joined the band: Daniel Belena (Roger). With this line-up, Criteria plays in several venues including Silikona and Rockcinante contests, among others. By July 2006, Criteria recorded its second demo (“La noche del cazador”), with the collaborations of Jaime García (Dr. Jekyll’s singer) and Jorge (Eden Lost) singing backing vocals, at the Lado Izquierdo studio getting a powerful sound closer to what Criteria is. By November 2006, Daniel decides to leave the band to join Inner Beast and Antonio Martin substitutes him. After several successful gigs, Daniel Belena (Roger) decides to leave the band for personal reasons by July 2007. Immediately after, Criteria starts the searching of a new guitarist and by the end of the same month Juan Castillo joins the band. By February 2008, Criteria has finished the recording of its last work: a self-funding EP called “La Herejía” while continues working hard in new songs for next tour.
