Hi fellow Don Shanks fans welcome to the unofficial Don Shanks fan page , I hope that this page will grow and become a fun place for Don Shanks fans to meet! Remember that this is an unofficial fan page so Don Shanks doesn't contact his fans via this page but please leave lots of comments to him and let him know how much you enjoy his work!!
If any of you have been lucky enough to actually get a chance to meet Don in person and would like to submit a photo of yourself with him that I could add to the album I would be very grateful!!! I will also add the photo to the slideshow.
I have searched Myspace and found other celebrity fan sites so I looked around to see if I could find one for Don Shanks and I couldn't find anything. My husband David knows that I have been a Don Shanks fan for a long time so he suggested that I start my own unofficial fan page.
I have no contact with Don Shanks personally or his representatives so any information that you read on this page has been found on the Internet. If you have any additional information that you could send me it would be most helpful and appreciated. I will try to keep this site as interesting as I can. There is very little biographical information about Don Shanks on the Internet so I will do the best I can with what ever information that I find.

Actor/stuntman Don Shanks also credited as Donald L Shanks was born February 26 1950. He graduated from Southwestern High in Piasa, Illinois. He started his career acting in theatre and doing special effects make up and was discovered while doing a play at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah. From there he did special effects make up, acting and stunts for the 1977 television series Grizzly Adams.
From family adventures and drama to action and horror for the past thirty years of his career as and actor and stuntman/stunt coordinator, Don Shanks' wide variety of skills in martial arts and fight choreography, edge weapons, horse back riding, fencing, repelling and animal confrontations has carried him through more then forty movies. Don Shanks is most recognized for his roles as Nakoma from the 1977 television series Grizzly Adams and as the infamous killer Michael Myers in the 1989 horror thriller Halloween 5 – The Revenge of Michael Myers. He has done personal appearances at several horror movie conventions such as the Halloween 25th anniversary convention in Pasadena, California in 2003.
