French Semester Comma The

About Me

The French Semester is a fresh, new music extravaganza raised on indie rock anthems, new wave hand clappers, late mod polyphony, and shoegaze technics. It involves one East Indian, one Vietnamese, one Mexican, and an Englishman. Then again, it quickly dissolves those demographics in a cloudy melting pot of indie pop--what they are calling "immigrant rock" for the uninitiated. More to the point, their dream starts on an LA playground of the mid-80's and stretches across five continents in search of what they chant is, "...a home away from home you know so a lot...". Their live act injects the highs and lows of this voyage in the heart of anyone within earshot. Their E.P., "Tossed by the Waves She Does not Sink", was released in May and its tracks have aired on KROQ and KXLU in Los Angeles, KAOS Olympia, WA, and Radio Principado Asturias, Spain.
