Judy Boots, whose father was a Baptist Minister, was born in San Angelo,Texas, into a family of eleven children. Her parents bought her first guitar from Montgomery Wards at age 12. Judy came by her playing skills quickly and easily and soon had her first paying "gig" performing "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain" for a widow man who paid her 50 cents. By age fifteen she had been an integral part of various gospel groups such as, "Gloryland Way", "The Gospel Four", and "Heaven Bound Because" singing both lead and harmony vocals. To this day gospel music still influences her music but her heart has always been set on performing traditional country music. After the births of her two sons; Judy attended trade school receiving a certificate in Electronic Assembly and Motivational Speaking. She continued her education in Junior College earning a degree in Mental Health Mental Retardation. Throughout the years, Judy never lost her love for music and songwriting and ultimately became a member of the Metroplex Country Music Association. MCMA provided Judy the opportunity to network which led to a promotional showcase at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville,Tn. As a single parent, Judys one desire was to provide a better way of life for her children. This led her to the field of truck driving. As an "over the road" truck driver traveling the United States and even Canada, Judy had the opportunity to meet a variety of people, experience different cultures and increase her songwriting potential through new experiences and knowledge.
