Phil Wallace

It has been said that Phil Wallace writes songs well beyond his years. Phil began singing in church at the age of five and hasn’t slowed down yet. At seven Phil began playing guitar and learned just about every three chord country song he heard on the radio. He began writing songs at the age of twelve and joined up with The Fort Worth Songwriters Association at Fifteen and was kicked out of the association six months later for “being too young”. The night he left The Fort Worth Songwriters, Phil was invited to play with what was then a three piece band called “The Doghouse Band” and has now been with the five piece “Texas Doghouse Band” for six years and the band was named the 1 Local Band in DFW for 2007 by The Fort Worth Star Telegram. These days Phil plays solo all over the state of Texas and has played with many singer/songwriters including Phil’s local hero Jordan Mycoskie.
