About Me

I lived in Washington DC in my early years and moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a child, graduated from RJR High School in 1976 and lived there until moving to the big town of Danbury, North Carolina in 2000. I consider myself a city girl turned country farm wife and wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy the small town life and the joy it brings. I love bluegrass music, attending bluegrass festivals when I can, gardening, sewing and handcrafts such as knitting, quilting and cross-stitch. I don't think there is a better way to relax than to sit on your porch and enjoy the sounds nature brings.

My Interests

First and foremost is Bluegrass music especially anything with the Country Gentlemen, the Seldom Scene or Lou Reid and Carolina. After that comes my sewing, handcrafts and gardening. What better way to relax then to listen to good music that you can understand the words and if the weather is nice be outside in the garden or if the weather is bad, sit inside and work on handcrafts.

There is no one in particular. Any one associated with Bluegrass music. They are great people to get to know, so down home and friendly.

Music:

BLUEGRASS, BLUEGRASS, BLUEGRASS

Movies:

Haven't been to a movie theater in years. We usually rent movies after they come out on dvd. Like to watch comedies and some action movies. I don't have any one in particular that is a favorite.

Books:

I can't wait for Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine to come in each month. Enjoy gardening books and craft books. When I do make it to the bookstore, I usually by new gardening books or quilting books.
