About Me
I'm a full time musician, recording engineer, producer, and guitarslinger in the SF Bay area. My playing is influenced by the usual list of late 80's guitar heroes - Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen. I was also influenced by other rock and pop/metal bands of the time - Metallica, GNR, Heart, Bon Jovi. Recently I've been listening to a wide variety of current rock, pop, punk, and metal acts, including Within Temptation, Nightwish, Damone, Evanescence, NOFX, Anna Nalik, Vanessa Carlton. I'm the guitarist for Sol-inocence and first call session guitarist for Rising Tide - both rock originals bands, as well as playing bass every Christmas season with the Jingle Punx , a Christmas punk band. In the past I've played in 80s hair metal and top 40 covers bands and an original melodic metal band. In addition to playing music, I'm also a professional recording engineer. I got my start in the studio business at Music Annex in Menlo Park, and currently I work at Granada Studios on the San Mateo coast, OTR Studios in Belmont, and as a teacher and part-time tech at Expression Digital Arts College in Emeryville. I've worked on projects for Thomas Dolby, Sharper Image, National Geographic, Oracle, Wells Fargo, Kraft Foods, Purina, PG&E, Kimpton Hotels, Sur La Table, Pottery Barn, Tommy Bahama, and many others.
