Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
With that being said...
Shockadelica is a magazine covering music, entertainment, art, comics, skateboarding, cars, toys and sex! We'll cover everything interesting and probably teach you a thing or two, we're like Lori Beth Denberg from the early seasons of "All That", we're gonna provide you with vital information for your everyday life. Here's a fun fact, New Zealand got a special brand of Coca-Cola called "Coca-Cola Raspberry", which was discontinued after like 3 days. Why don't they make Coca-Cola Pineapple?
I basically invisioned a magazine that people would buy and never throw away. I want this to be the cutting edge on all thats amazing. I don't want to be a stop on the "It Person of The Moment's" magazine tour. I want to bring together good music, movies, art, skateboarding and anime. Also I want to review classic movies and cds. I want to do the best interviews and report on the coolest clothes. I want the magazine to have a voice, to stand out and be fucking amazing. Shockadelica goodness.
As for articles, I want every person who contributes to write with thier own voice, this isn't the encyclopedia and I don't want some pretentious twat trying to deduce the science of sounds for the sake of sounding like some hot shit music journalist. I want someone to make me want to listen to an album, the same way my friends would tell me "Hey, this shit is cool." I can relate to personality in writing, I kinda wish Hunter S Thompson and Andy Warhol would of gotten together to make a magazine, although I don't think they would of gotten along. And for the record, I know Andy Warhol started a magazine with Gerard Malanga called Interview, but the magazine doesn't speak to me. That magazine was 80's Warhol, I want my magazine to be 60's Warhol. Understand?
