Spheres

Because they invited everybody!!

About Me

The Spheres met in late 2000 at Thorns Community College and have played several times in the West Midlands area. They create honest, heartfelt music that reflects the experiences of those who create it.
Believing that too much emphysis is put on playing live, the band very rarely play in public. Instead time is spent creating and refining songs that have captured something, a time, a feeling, an experience etc..
With limited ep release ALL THINGS LOCAL, follow up singles GLORY GONE DAYS and HOLD HER BY YOUR SIDE The Spheres are quickly establishing themselves as one of the premier bands in the West Midlands area.
If you like what you hear then please add The Spheres and feel free to ask them any questions
Thank you for visiting
p.s Please check out The Voluntary Butler Scheme in the top friends list below. The band are great friends of The Spheres and create music that deserves to be heard.

My Interests

Music:

Influences: BOB DYLAN

The greatest songwriter of all time seems to only improve with time. With such classics as "Blowin In The Wind","The Times Are A Changin" and "Knockin On Heavans Door"Dylan will be influencing artists for the rest of time.

THE KINKS

Fantastic English pop band that were part of the Mod movement in the 60's.
With beautifully crafted pop songs (when pop was cool) including "You Really Got Me","Waterloo Sunset" and "Dedicated Follower Of Fasion", the kinks have a back catalogue that very few artists can rival.

OCEAN COLOUR SCENE

Fantastic band that could do no wrong in the mid 90's.
Hailing from the West Midlands OCS played a major part in the Britpop movement, creating not only anthems such as "Day We Caught The Train" and "Riverboat Song" but also capturing real beauty in slower tracks such as "I Wanna Stay Alive With You" and "The Downstream".
Unfortunetly the part they played in Britpop is now hugely overlooked but OCS deserve to be remembered again.

YEAH YEAH YEAHS

The greatest living band today? The impact of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs hasen't yet been recognised but will be in years to come.
With a frontwoman that is as sexy as talented, this trio will be one of the bands that defines this era.
