I believe in mother nature and the elements of the earth...
In the man I love...and quotes that say it all...

In the past two years I have had some of the most challenging,traumatic and beautiful experiences which transformed the essence of who I am. I retreated into myself, trying to process my sorrow and grief at the passing of some very near and dear souls in my life.
My brother Matthew and my mother Tina Govatos...
And my best friend Jewel Imperial... but no more...the Goddess has returned! I am reborn and grateful to be alive. With each tragedy a blessing and gift from the Goddess was presented to me ~ with new eyes I look at myself and the world around me, seeing only the beauty that connects us all to each other and the divine in all things. Accepting of my life and ready to live in the present...looking forward to my future.I consider friendship essential for survival in this "world". Finding out just how blessed I am to have the group of friends I do, and honored to call them family...

I have also accepted my destiny to be with the one I love. It only took us 22 years for us to realize our dreams!

I have a wonderful son Damian

and a loveable black cat named Merlin.

I find peace in my mind and through other worlds when I meditate...
I'm trying to make peace with "time" and how I/our perception of what /or how we "see" things...realizing that it's just a reflection of what we see in others, and therefore ourselves...LOVING myself and others more with every breath I take!!!

My Interests

Reading, writing, research of all kinds, long walks in nature, hiking, biking, anything to do with travel and foreign lands/cultures, documentaries, geography, Astrology, numerology, palmistry, I ching, runes, Tarot reading, Reiki Chakra/Aura/energy work, herbs, Rocks/Gem stones and their healing properties, feng shui, color therapy, mandalas meditation, drumming, phases of the moon...(a moon Goddess remember)...playing in the rain and snow, and the elements of mother nature, metaphysical studies, making jewelry...love to cut and paste pictures of far off places, animals and people to put together collages, bowling, ice skating, and spending as much time with my wonderful son Damian; just to name a few...
I also love art, in all forms and fairies... <div

The Dali Lama, Lama Surya Das, Aron Ralston...anyone who can/will impact my life to bring about change! Anyone who met Jewel "julie imperial" and whose lives she touched. I want to get to know you...because you are also carrying that special something that intertwines all of our lives together...by bringing her spirit and essence together we keep her memories alive forever!!!

Grew up without a TV...shows I later became hooked on...Quantum Leap (I know!)Northern Exposure, House, Dead Like Me, Arrested Development, Weeds and Big Love. Also loved watching the Farscape series (after it was off the air) .. Kitty cats make the world a better place...

Books:

So many Authors...so little space. Just to name a few. Anne Rice, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Jerry and Ester Hicks (Abraham channelled material), Ralph Waldo Emerson, Edgar Allen Poe, Walt Whitman, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jon Krakauer, Matthew Sanford, Amy Tan, Thich Nhat Hanh, and anything written or translated by the Dali Lama ...Poetry speaks to my heart and soul. Meaningful quotes that capture the essence of what I feel in my heart and soul...connected to others and happy, not so alone. Eyes are the windows to the Soul...
