My name is Sam and i am 14. i come from a small village near Winchester and go to swanmore secondary school. I started playing guitar when i was 8 or so, when my musical tastes consisted of Robbie Williams and the Spice girls..... Luckily i saw the light and realised that actually this new pop music wasn't that cool. my dad took me to a couple of gigs to see Gary Moore and Jeff Beck and i thought to myself, wow this is so loud and cool i want to do that! So about 2 or 3 years ago i stopped playing so much classical/spanish guitar and started trying to play like hendrix and my dad (bought my beautiful fender stratocaster about the same time, which i did all the recording with, obviously not including the singing, drums and keyboard.) A year ago now i realised i could sing a bit also and started singing lessons and about the same time my Dad came home with this Jeff Buckley C.D - Grace. I have been obsessed with it ever since that day and infact all of his stuff! Then more recently i became obsessed with Radiohead and in that gap i became obsessed with Nick Drake.... i could go on for a while so i wont. I have done lots of gigs with various bands and made CD's with all of them all, which is great! I made an album by myself last year, some of which is on my myspace music player, but its a bit old now so i'm going to make another one as soon as i can find the time! I usually go busking quite alot but its been so cold i can hardly play, so i'm not doing that so much at the moment. please leave a comment, i like comments!
