Simply put, Jorge Lucas is the life of the party. He’s usually on the dance floor, laughing and having a good time, or making sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of at the club, or dealing with the stress and the headaches of a busy door, with a smile and positive aura. No frowns or negative vibes from this man…
Jorge Lucas came to Canada, from Portugal in 2003. Having promoted parties in his native country, gave Jorge a passion for the nightlife. Arriving to the Toronto party scene, Jorge was impressed and influenced by many of the industry people and key contacts that he met.
Particularly, Jorge met up with another hardcore clubber of Portuguese decent, Nuno Arraujo. Nuno was an emerging nightclub promoter in the city of Toronto, and the two young men gravitated to each other. As they began to know and trust each other, the boys decided to form their own promotion company, Energie Entertainment to cater to their growing database of friends and Toronto scenesters.
Energie Entertainment has since then become one of Toronto’s leading nightlife and entertainment companies. Energie has hosted and promoted at such reputable clubs as Hotel, Lucid, Budo, Wetbar, and Tonic just to name a few. Their “Helium Sundays†party is Sunday’s hottest party in Toronto, and is going on one year strong. Nuno and Jorge also hold majority stake in a house music promotion company called, “Exposed House Music Events†and they host the weekly house music events at Sonic Nightclub.
Not bad for someone that has only been in Canada for three years…
