MENDOZAA SHADE OF GRAY MEMBER SINCE 2003I started playing guitar at 18. Shortly afterwards I joined a Goth Band and started to pickup and play other instruments such as Bass and Keys. I had an overwhelming urge to improve and learn more, I began listening to DJ Shadow and Aphex Twin and decided to write my own Music and Beats using a Yamaha RMX, a Roland Xp10 and an AKAI S2000 Sampler. Composing my own Instrumentals lead to me learning of artists on Warp Records, Replex Records and Ninja Tunes. Listening to these labels influenced me into writing everything from Drum & Bass and House right through to Hip Hop and Intelligent Dance Music.I hooked up with A.S.B.O. in 2003 (we were both friends of Willson Fisk, I needed an MC, Azi needed a producer….) and that year became a member of A Shade Of Gray. I am currently writing an album with A.S.B.O . due to be released on Banana Klan (Roots Manuva’s Label) as well as actively producing beats for the rest of S.O.G./P
