Miss Boon's Blues Infirmary

Miss Rebecca Boon : Born on the 3rd of September 1984 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.She started out as an actress and after being taught classical piano by the eccentric Mrs. Snijders, Rebecca's interests headed more in the blues direction and started focusing on her vocal abilities and moved to Dublin after attending vocal lessons at The Waterland School of Music.Past performances include the Isaac Butt with Bluetide's Shane Smith, Annesley House with Mark McGuigan and radio interviews. Always interested in the management side of the music business Rebecca worked for John Earle and Thin Lizzy.Rebecca spent some time in London where here love for the blues got stronger. She moved back to The Netherlands and formed a band with Giovanni Crudelli and Edwin Sikkens. Rehearsals took place in the Rock Supplies music studios in Amsterdam.But Rebecca's heart is in Dublin and Miss Boon moved back again following her Irish roots. Performances include Temple bar's Mezz and JJ Smyth's with the Ben Prevo Band and John Earle, The Burlington Hotel and Zagloba with Hollywood Slim and The Fat Cats and The Viper Room with Dan Wright.Rebecca also did production assistent work for the one and only Mac Rebennack/Dr. John.Rebecca recently shared the stage with: The Rob Strong Band, Nigel Mooney, Johnny Reynolds, The Screamin' Livers, Jude Shiels, Parchman Farm and Doctor Roots.Rebecca is back in Dublin after recording with Edwin Sikkens in the Stricks Studio in Amsterdam. Nowadays you will find Miss Boon's Blues Infirmary around Dublin City in well known irish venues with some of the best musicians in town.
