My main goal with my music is to be honest and tell a story. I try to play what I feel and that can sometimes go in many directions. The songs I create are strongly connected to my mood at the time and I try to capture what I feel outside as well as inside. I’m currently working on new songs and hope there’ll be some people that can relate to my stories.
I live in the centre of Copenhagen, Denmark and it is here, in a small, downtown flat that I compose, play and listen to music. I started playing guitar and bass at the age of 14. Since then, I’ve found it very interesting to explore a variety of instruments from different musical angles.
In 1990, my good friend Soren and I, joined together to make music and he taught me the basics of bass guitar. It wasn’t long before we’d started our own band. We were not the best musicians at the time and that combined with our own high-speed variations of classic rock n’ roll tunes, produced some amusing results! After a couple of years, we became more serious and formed the band ‘Philmore Fridays’. It became the starting point for my true addiction to music today. In the late 90’s we decided to split up and search for new musical ventures. The birth of the band ‘Medicine of life’ became a reality in 2002. It was my starting point as lead singer. Until then the only singing I had done was with an acoustic guitar, this was a great opportunity for me to work with my voice in a serious rock-band.
In 2007, we decided to call ‘Medicine of life’ a fantastic time in our lives and split up, in order to try something new. As I was both the composer and songwriter for ‘Medicine of life’, it was only natural for me to start a solo-project. As well as this I also had some other projects going, a Danish trio called ‘Provins’ and a rock n’ roll-project.
